So Tecnopal 2 was a huge success and everyone there had an amazing time. The spot was incredible, the vibe was perfect and the music was top notch! We could not have asked for anything more, except maybe us taking more pics – check out the few we snapped in the evening and a couple in the morning.

The indomitable Richie Hawtin will be making his return to El Paso on July 3rd  this time to Club 101.  His sets pretty much define what the current trends in underground techno and minimal are and he continues to dominate with his forward thinking approach. An absolutely essential show to catch if you consider yourself a fan of Electronic Dance Music. To warm up for the set we recommend checking out his XLR8R podcast where he does Plastikman’s take on Richie Hawtin – listen here. And for the event click here for more info.

Something new popping off lately in EP is Lowkey Thursdays with Rob Bass and System A. at the Union.  These guys are always throwing down proper and its great to see a weekly with some love and support happening in EP, especially with an emphasis on Bass Music! This week they are featuring the insane talents of One Man Jazz, the recent winner of the big DJ batter, performing a champion victory set to bless the audience. More info here

Alright that’s it for today, but check back next week for more updates!

Alright so here we are in June with the heat coming down in full effect and we have lots to share.  The weekend brings the awesomeness that is Tecnopal 2 to the El Paso desert and we couldn’t be more excited! The lineup is looking massive and the time goes from 12pm Sat to 6pm Sun. They are recommending to come prepared so bring your best Madmax getup (including post apocalyptic supplies j/k camping supplies are fine) and get ready to vibe out with some amazing people and excellent music.  Check back for pics on this one and get more info here

Blase Drexler & MadaHere is a look at next weeks Pub Club Wednesday.  This round it’s House head/ Hip Hop Critic Blase Drexler with upcoming techno fiend Mada.  They recently announced that there is no more cover for the rest of the summer so it’s looking like the perfect time to get out after the heat has calmed down and get a drink with some great tunes. Tonight it is DLS with Dr. Lo goin down at Hurricane Alley so make sure to support your local DJs!

Lee Foss is headed to El Paso on Friday to play some sexy funky house at Cubo.  Lee Foss is a fast rising hot item in the deep house movement that has been picking up with labels like Wolf+Lamb, Culprit and more releasing his tunes. Expect that essential funky bass to carry you to bliss when this guy’s on decks. More info here

Here is a super fresh show – Jeru the Damaja! One of our favorite emcees since back int he day, this guy has been a huge influence on underground, conscious flows. June 25th look out for a bangin’ performance from the master with opening sets from local talent – Mark X Uneek, DJ Nervous and more. Click here for more info.

On June 11th Bill Patrick is heading in to play Mbar with his signature sound. Bill Patrick has a history of rocking it at his Robot parties and now he hangs with the likes of Seth Troxler whom is also on the Visionquest label.  With 2 stages and a huge lineup of local talent, this one looks pretty dope!
